The Dillonvale Indians had to overcome a fine effort from New Rochelle pitcher Ricky Valdez to win, 4-3, at Black Diamonds Ballpark. Valdez went 7.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. New Rochelle, at 4-10, is off to a poor start in 2025.

Dillonvale got a knockout punch from Heath Corkum. The designated hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Corkum.
