New Rochelle Tacks 6-3 Loss on Ann Arbor
New Rochelle and Ann Arbor duked it out and the Purple Wave came out victorious.

Due in large part to designated hitter Eric Brown, the New Rochelle Purple Wave sunk the Ann Arbor Z's, 6-3. Brown was 2-2 with a triple and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Jim Hudson earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Picking up the save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Gabe Sprung.

Danny Haessly drew 1 walk for New Rochelle. The 22-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Andrew Tanner. It was his 10th RBI of the season.

"Nice win for us," said Haessly. "Now we'll go after the next one."

Ann Arbor falls to 8-5.
