No one was more impactful than Ty Beckford in the 5-3 Hickory win over Quebec. Beckford, who is tied for 3rd in the StC in stolen bases with 5, went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Brian Aldridge got the save, the 3rd for him this season. Now 6-8, the Fighting Quakers have not played well this season.

Beckford had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-0 cutter from Brian Hammond, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Crawdads a 5-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Beckford.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Beckford told the Hickory Daily.
