A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Denver Pilots and Quebec Fighting Quakers.

The Denver Pilots topped the Quebec Fighting Quakers, 4-1, in Stripes Conference action at Toros Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Denver pitcher and Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, native Casey Levy. Levy picked up the win for Denver, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0.

Denver used a well-timed hit by Dale Coffey to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Pilots ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We put together a nice win," Coffey said.

Quebec, with the loss, is still a stout 10-4.
