Spokane Selects starter Aaron O'Brien found his groove in his team's 9-4 win over the Denver Pilots. O'Brien, now 1-2, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 10, walking 0, and allowing 4 runs. Spokane, now 10-3, is setting the league on fire so far.

Dan Moody had a big 2-run double for the Selects in the top of the fourth inning. With Spokane leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Dave Barncord and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Selects ahead, 4-1.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Moody.
