Orono Hot Streak Continues with 2-1 Win
In a low-scoring tilt between the Orono Oaks and the Randolph Prairie Thunder, Josh Shropshire was the difference-maker. The Orono right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Shropshire, now 2-1, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Kasey Curtsinger recorded the save, his 1st.

Mike Maughan had a timely hit in the top of the fifth inning. With one out and the bases empty, the Orono left fielder hit a solo home run. That put the Oaks in front, 2-1.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Orono manager Mike Sanchez.

Randolph now has a record of 8-6.
