The Walnut Park Bobcats faced a tough opponent in Orono pitcher Chris Hawes, but did just enough to pull out the victory at University of Maine Stadium by a final score of 4-3 in 10 innings. Hawes went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. Jose Perez, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 4.1 innings. Picking up the save was Sean Rosato, his 4th.

Walnut Park used the timely hitting of Dylan Waters to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Bobcats on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

After the game, Walnut Park manager Perry Glickman applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.

The win takes Walnut Park to 9-6.
