Quebec Dealt 5-3 Defeat
|
Jackie Robinson Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Quebec Fighting Quakers and Westwood Bruins.
The Westwood Bruins topped the Quebec Fighting Quakers, 5-3, in Stripes Conference action at Jackie Robinson Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Westwood pitcher Mike Bryan. Bryan got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Jonathan Marich picked up his 3rd save of the season.
The Bruins got a big at-bat from first baseman Paul Tetzloff. For the game, Tetzloff was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Westwood a 3-0 lead.
"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Bryan.
Quebec is 5-5 after the defeat.
