The Hickory Crawdads managed to get by the Dillonvale Indians, 5-4, at Crawdad Park. Hickory pitcher Frank Sarabia set himself apart with his performance. Brian Aldridge earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. The Indians, now 4-8, continue their poor start.

The Crawdads got a clutch hit from second baseman Isaiah Goulbourne. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Crawdads.

"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Hickory manager Ray Sanchez.
