Bowman, Selects Get 3-0 Win
The Spokane Selects picked up a win at Selects Ballpark, defeating the New Rochelle Purple Wave, 3-0. Starting pitcher Jerry Bowman was an essential part of his team's success. Tyler Doss got credit for the save for Spokane. It was his 5th of the year. Spokane, now 9-3, is playing great baseball to start the year.

The famously hardworking Bowman handled the Purple Wave all day, notching 8 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 4 hits. Bowman goes to 2-0 on the year with 12 strikeouts.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Bowman told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
