Orono Scrapes Out 3-1 Win
|
Bill Frazer, who is rated as the 60th best prospect by BNN, had a strong outing for the Orono Oaks against the Palm Springs Heat at University of Maine Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-1 win. Matt Williams collected his 5th save. The Oaks keep rolling, raising their record to 8-4.
Had Fabian Hartnett not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Hartnett hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Oaks.
Frazer called the win "a pick-me-upper."
