Bobcats Triumphant, 9-1, at Black Diamonds Ballpark
|
The Walnut Park Bobcats and starting pitcher Brad Porretta stifled the Dillonvale offense en route to a comfortable 9-1 win at Black Diamonds Ballpark. Porretta, now 1-1, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 2, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. The Indians, 5-7, continue their sluggish start to the 2026 campaign.
The Bobcats benefited from a costly error in the top of the seventh. With Alex Ochoa at bat and Walnut Park leading 2-1, the Dillonvale miscue allowed Walnut Park to plate 1 and take the lead, 3-1.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Walnut Park manager Perry Glickman.
