Marshalls Rebuff Prairie Thunder, 3-2

Starting pitcher Ken Bixby gave the Fremont Marshalls a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Randolph Prairie Thunder, 3-2, at Hedgehogs Ballpark. Bixby picked up the win for Fremont, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Steve Bolling recorded his 2nd save for Fremont.
Making an impact for Fremont was catcher Brian Sanders. He drilled a run-scoring double off Simon Scales in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Sanders went 1 for 3 with a double.
"It feels good to get this one," Sanders told the Fremont Today.
Randolph is now 2-7.
