The performance of Mitch Jarka proved critical in helping Fremont beat Ann Arbor, 7-3. The Marshalls center fielder was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Ken Bixby was the winner. Over 6 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. The Marshalls raised their record to 6-2.
Fremont took a 7-3 lead on Jarka's 2nd double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which he hit off Josh Kuhn in the top of the eighth, propelled Fremont to the win.
