The Dillonvale Indians could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Jesus Garcia into a win. Instead, the Quebec Fighting Quakers prevailed, 6-3. Garcia threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. Kyle Connell got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. Earning his 1st save for Quebec was Jerardo Perez.

In the bottom of the 7th, first baseman Ben Leonardi gave Quebec the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Fighting Quakers had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out single off Dillonvale pitcher Pat Hiltner changed that -- and Quebec went on to win.

Leonardi attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."

The loss drops the Indians to 3-5.
