Purple Wave Suffer 4-2 Setback
The Orono Oaks weathered a fine game by New Rochelle right fielder Dean Brum to upend the Purple Wave, 4-2, at University of Maine Stadium. Brum went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Oaks raised their record to 4-2.

Orono took a 4-2 lead on Mark Harris's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off New Rochelle pitcher Mike Deadrick in the bottom of the eighth.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Harris told the Orono Chronicle.
