The Quebec Aces handed the Denver Pilots a 6-1 defeat at Belmont Park. Second Baseman Joe West starred for Quebec. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 times. Jeremy Dawson picked up the save, his 1st. The Aces raised their record to 4-1.
Quebec second baseman Josh Meeker landed a blow when he belted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the second. It was his 1st home run of the season. With it, the Aces took a 3-0 lead.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Aces manager Elias Nunez, "I like our chances."
