Selects Upend Crawdads, 4-1

Spokane picked up a win at Crawdad Park, bumping off the Hickory Crawdads, 4-1. Pitcher Jerry Bowman was a major reason the Selects emerged victorious. Bowman picked up the win for Spokane, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Tyler Doss earned save number 2 this season.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Scott Goldfein? The Spokane third baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Selects on top, 3-1. For the game, Goldfein had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Goldfein said.
The Selects, now 5-1, have hit the ground running this season.
