Quebec Hangs 4-1 Loss on New Rochelle
Ballpark of Lexington was the site of the home opener for the New Rochelle Purple Wave. The contest featured a prime matchup between Justin Hesley of the visiting Quebec Aces and Kevin Clinger of the Purple Wave. The final score was 4-1, the Aces getting the win. Justin Hesley turned in the best performance. The winner was Hesley. He threw 6.2 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Kevin Clinger.

Brian Gates aided the Quebec cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the second. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 5.
