Fighting Quakers Earn Late Win
|
Getting an impressive start from Dan Fischer, Quebec beat Denver by the score of 3-2. Scott Harvey, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. The loss has the Pilots at 0-3.
Quebec got a clutch hit from Jose Hernandez. The pinch hitter launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.
"Dan had good arm action, good stuff," said Quebec manager Jeff Gray.
