Baxter Springs pitcher Tony Lantinga had a large part in his team subduing the Hartford Matadors, 5-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Steven Hyatt recorded the save, making him 30 for 35. The win lifted the Baxter Springs record to 79-63.

Kevin Davis, the 7th overall pick in the 2020 draft, took Hartford hurler Tony Morales deep in the bottom of the second. His 2-run home run put the Marshals on top, 2-0. In all, Davis had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
