Aces Lose, 6-4, as Stampede Rally
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Lubbock Stampede and Quebec Aces.

Lubbock starter Emmanuel Barrios pitched well against the Quebec Aces at Belmont Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 6-4. Miguel Aguirre earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 4-3. Paul Garcia finished the game for Lubbock and earned his 36th save.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Men Toronho came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Quebec pitcher Diego Cortes, he hit a 0-1 curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Lubbock on top, 5-4.

Lubbock manager William Maysonet said his team played a "no nonsense" game.

The Stampede saw their win-loss record go to 71-73. At the same time, the Aces fell to 65-79.
