Slumping Canadiens Lose Again
|
The Fremont Marshalls defeated the Montreal Canadiens, 4-2. Doing his part was third baseman Keith DiPiazza, who went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Ruben Torres was credited with the save for Fremont, his 9th of the season. The Canadiens, now 44-99, have lost 7 in a row.
Fremont took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when DiPiazza hit a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season made the score 3-1, Fremont.
"If you chase it, you need to get it," said Fremont skipper Matt Blade.
