Marshalls Prevail, 4-2, Over Montreal
|
Fremont Marshalls right-hander Tarjei Wiese pitched a good game against the Montreal Canadiens at Hedgehogs Park, leading his team to victory, 4-2. Wiese got the win, improving to 8-9. He gave up 7 hits and walked 3 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Montreal now owns a losing streak of 6 games.
Fremont catcher Jim Kaufman contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 50th hit of the season and put the Marshalls ahead, 3-0.
"For the most part, I didn't think they knew what was coming," said Wiese.
