Chupacabras Prevail, 2-1, Over Nashville
|
The El Paso Chupacabras faced a tough opponent in Nashville pitcher Sean Hill, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Lasers Ballpark by a final score of 2-1. Hill went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Mike Heustess got credit for the win, improving to 5-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. David Holloman, credited with the save, is now 6 for 9 in save opportunities.
Ross Dorough had a direct impact on the outcome. Dorough contributed a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put El Paso up, 2-1.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Dorough, "one at-bat at a time."
