Lasers Rally to Win, 7-6
|
The 7-6 Nashville win over Glendale was due largely to Joe Cross. The Lasers third baseman was 3-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Nashville reliever Travis Crane picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. John Keefe took the loss. Vinny Luna wrapped it up, recording his 4th save.
Jose Duarte drove in one run for Nashville. The 28-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off John Keefe. It was his 21st RBI of the season.
"Nice win for us," said Cross. "Now we'll go after the next one."
Nashville now sits at 77-63, while Glendale falls to 71-69.
