Portland Hot Streak Continues with 2-1 Win
The Portland Mad Ants and Laredo Ghosts completed their game despite the rain.

Portland right-hander Chris Simon helped his team edge Laredo by the score of 2-1. Simon kept the opposing lineup in check. The save went to Dane Roberts, number 26 for him.

In the bottom of the third inning, the Mad Ants grabbed the lead when Timmy Coenen rapped a two-out home run. Portland was trailing 1-0, when Coenen hit a 2-run home run off Cory Langan to put his team in front, 2-1.

"No matter what our lineup is, the person in the box with an opportunity, it seems like that guy usually comes through for us," said Mad Ants manager Will Berman.

The wins continue to add up for Portland. The latest makes it 8 in a row.
