No one was more impactful than Brent Haynes in the 4-1 El Paso win over Fremont. Haynes went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Jason Seymour got the win, improving to 6-13. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3. With the victory, the Chupacabras upped their record to 75-61.
Haynes had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-0 sinker from Jon Kwait, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Chupacabras a 3-1 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Haynes.
"If you chase it, you need to get it," said El Paso skipper William Maysonet.
