Fans watched the Little Rock Governors and the Montreal Canadiens fight to the finish.
The Little Rock Governors earned a close win over the Montreal Canadiens, thanks in part to Brian Norfolk. The Little Rock right-hander, who leads the SC in complete games with 3, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Jim Unknown recorded the save, his 1st.
John Schumacher had a direct impact on the outcome. Schumacher contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the eighth inning to put Little Rock up, 1-0.
In comments to the Little Rock Citizen, Schumacher insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
The last-place Canadiens now sit at 47-90.
