Tailgators Get Past Glendale for 3-2 Win
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Chesapeake Tailgators and the Glendale Muskies, Rick Gregg was the X factor. The Chesapeake right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Frank Howerton snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-3 on the season. Elijah Miller suffered the loss. Chesapeake has run its win streak to 7 in a row.
Chesapeake got a game-changing hit from Chris Broadley. The second baseman blasted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a winner.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Chesapeake manager Dave York.
