Tailgators Grind Out 2-0 Win
In a low-scoring tilt between the Chesapeake Tailgators and the Hartford Matadors, 24-year old right-handed pitcher Antonino Sauli was the difference-maker. The Chesapeake right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. Bobby Dwyer recorded his 16th save for Chesapeake. The 5th-place Tailgators now sit at 58-79.

The Tailgators had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 2-0, Chesapeake, with one out. Hartford, with a runner on 2nd, was mounting a threat. Tony Perez dug in at the plate, but on a 2-2 fastball, he struck out.
