The home crowd had a good time watching the Lubbock Stampede and Chesapeake Tailgators get after it.

The Chesapeake Tailgators beat the Lubbock Stampede, 12-0, at Tailgators Ballpark. Jimmy Bauer, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2018 draft, starred for Chesapeake. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Jeff Tracy earned the win for Chesapeake. He lasted 5 innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 4-8.

In the bottom of the third, Bauer had a 2-run home run for Chesapeake. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Tailgators on top, 2-0.

Said losing manager William Maysonet: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."

The 4th-place Tailgators sport a record of 58-80.
