Muskies Polish Off Lasers, 18-0
|
The Glendale Muskies pinned a convincing loss on the Nashville Lasers, 18-0, at Lasers Ballpark. Jesse Reimann was a main factor in the win. He was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 times and drove in 7 for Glendale. Dan Dean was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed no runs on 1 hit, with 4 walks and 5 strikeouts. Picking up his 6th save was 27-year old right-handed pitcher John Keefe.
With Glendale leading 1-0 in the top of the seventh, Reimann hit a 2-run single off Nashville hurler Reynaldo Beltran. It was the 92nd hit of the season for Reimann and put his team ahead, 3-0.
Said Nashville manager Kenny McElhaney about the blowout loss: "I feel like I've been at the dentist since two o'clock or whatever."
