Jesters Rally to Nose Past Laredo
|
Barry McLamb, who leads the SC in wins with 13, had a strong outing for the Joilet Jesters against the Laredo Ghosts at Ballpark of Joilet. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Micah Morgan claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. His record stands at 1-3. Nick McKinney earned the save for Joilet, his 28th of the year.
Joilet took a 3-2 lead on Justin Teehan's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Teehan hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Laredo pitcher Nick Thompson visibly frustrated.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," McLamb said.
The Ghosts, now 56-80, have lost 5 in a row.
