Chesapeake Sent Home with 2-1 Loss
|
In a low-scoring game between the Fremont Marshalls and the Chesapeake Tailgators, pitcher Steve Oswald was masterful on the mound. The Fremont right-hander spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. Drew Pozin was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Jimmy Miano. Jonathan Reeher picked up the save, his 31st.
The Marshalls got a big at-bat from shortstop Charlie Harrison. For the game, Harrison was 1 for 3 with a home run. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Fremont a 2-1 lead.
"I felt good up there," said Harrison. "I saw the ball well."
The first-place Marshalls have won 5 in a row.
