Barrios Now 1-3 After Beating Marshals
|
The Lubbock Stampede took on the Baxter Springs Marshals at Reagor Dykes Stadium.
Emmanuel Barrios imposed his will on the Marshals from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the left-hander spearheaded the 4-0 Lubbock triumph. The win elevated the Stampede to 67-67.
Lubbock starter Emmanuel Barrios pitched like a boss. The 6-foot-4 left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings.
"Bottom line," said Baxter Springs skipper Mitsuaki Sakaguchi, "we didn't play well enough to win."
