Ghosts Turn Away Muskies, 2-1
|
Starting pitcher John Brown had a solid game. He was a big reason the Laredo Ghosts throttled the Glendale Muskies, 2-1. Brown yielded 1 run over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 9-10. Laredo has 3 straight wins, Glendale 3 straight losses.
The Ghosts got a big at-bat from center fielder Brian Hull. For the game, Hull was 1-3 with a double and a walk. In the top of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Laredo a 2-1 lead.
"John kept his poise and got the job done," said Laredo manager Josh Miller. "He was outstanding."
