Aces Lose to Stampede in Walk-Off
|
The Lubbock Stampede got a stellar effort from pitcher Juan Barron, helping Lubbock score a win over the visiting Quebec Aces, 4-2. Quebec has now lost 5 straight.
The decisive blow was delivered by Jamie Dillard in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Dave Barncord to win the game for Lubbock. The home crowd went nuts.
"First place," said Stampede manager William Maysonet. "This is right where we want to be."
