The Portland Mad Ants went home winners at Mad Ants Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Matt Parsons. Parsons stifled the Glendale Muskies, enabling Portland to grab the 3-1 win. Parsons got the win, improving to 13-9. He gave up 7 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Chase Collins collected his 2nd save.

The Mad Ants had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 3-1, Portland, with one out. Glendale, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Brian Byrnes dug in at the plate, but on a 2-2 cutter, he popped out.
