The Portland Mad Ants defeated the Laredo Ghosts, 5-4, in Stars Conference action at Mad Ants Ballpark. Portland pitcher Luis Alcoser had a standout performance. Portland is 69-62 and Laredo, with the loss, 79-52.

Rick Elliott tagged a home run off Lílian Pona in the bottom of the fourth. His 3-run blast put the Mad Ants on top, 4-2. In all, Elliott had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
