Glendale Absorbs 7-2 Loss to Hartford
|
Hartford Matadors starter Alberto Renteria kept the Glendale Muskies hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 7-2 win. The Matadors lead the Stars Conference West Division by 12 games.
Craig Dobbs had a big 2-run home run for the Matadors in the top of the fourth inning. With Hartford leading 3-2 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a sinker from 22-year old left-handed pitcher Bob Luse and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Matadors on top, 5-2.
"We didn't get the results that we wanted," said Glendale skipper Jon Greenberg.
