Matadors Get Clutch Win, 6-5
Despite a great performance by Baxter Springs second baseman Josh Law, the Hartford Matadors defeated the Marshals by the score of 6-5 in 10 innings at Ballpark of Tacoma. Law was 2-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win belonged to Ricky Hill in relief. His record improves to 5-4. Nick Wolfe took the loss for Baxter Springs. By defeating Baxter Springs, the first-place Matadors improved to 80-49.

The Matadors got a clutch hit from shortstop Roy Blaylock. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Matadors.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Blaylock told the Hartford Bulletin.
