Chesapeake got a decent performance from pitcher Joe Brackett, but it wasn't enough to beat the Fremont Marshalls. Fremont won the Hedgehogs Park contest, 4-3. Brackett threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Tom Haas earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record is now 1-4. Fremont is now 59-68.

The decisive moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Fremont. That's when Josh Napier hit a run-scoring double off 34-year old left-handed pitcher Nick Wolfe to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"It was a good effort all around," said Napier.
