Lubbock Bats Cold in 4-0 Loss
|
The rain did not keep Nashville and Lubbock from finishing their game.
The Nashville Lasers went home winners at Lasers Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Nick Alvarado. Alvarado stifled the Lubbock Stampede, enabling Nashville to grab the 4-0 win. The winner was Alvarado. He threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Gil Backos.
With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Chris Harmon had a game-changing hit. The Lasers catcher slammed a run-scoring single off Dan Kleinman, making the score 2-0, Nashville.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Harmon, "and then get after it again."
The third-place Lasers now sit at 70-58.
