The El Paso Chupacabras coasted to a win over the Portland Mad Ants, 11-1. Cory Allen had a good day at the plate for El Paso. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The winning pitcher was Edgar Minero. He's now 4-3. He went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits for the Chupacabras. The third-place Mad Ants dropped to 65-64.

Nick Arthur had a big bases-clearing triple for the Chupacabras in the bottom of the fourth inning. With El Paso leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from 26-year old right-handed pitcher John Wright and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 4th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Chupacabras ahead, 4-0.
