El Paso Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The El Paso Chupacabras topped the Portland Mad Ants, 10-6, with left fielder Dan Brewer playing a big role. Brewer was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5 for the Chupacabras in the win. The win went to David Holloman in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Mike Glass took the loss. The triumph puts El Paso at 70-58 for the season.

El Paso got a knockout punch from Alex Alvarez. The pinch hitter hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Alvarez.
