The Portland Mad Ants knocked off the Lubbock Stampede, 4-3, in Stars Conference action at Mad Ants Ballpark. Portland pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Fernando Garcia had an outstanding performance. Portland is second in the Stars Conference West Division with a record of 75-53.

Portland got a game-changing hit from Josh Kelly. The third baseman blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a winner.

"This place was rockin'," Kelly said.
