Quebec turned a good effort from starter Sal Reyes into a win over the Portland Mad Ants at Mad Ants Ballpark. The final score was 6-2. The last-place Aces are now 57-69, the Mad Ants 70-56.

Quebec got a lift in the top of the fourth from right fielder Chris Epstein, who hit a splitter to right for a 2-run double. His 10th double of the season put the Aces up, 2-1.

"Sal gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Quebec skipper Matt Blade.
