Tailgators Deal Governors 2-1 Loss
|
The Chesapeake Tailgators eked out a 2-1 win versus the Little Rock Governors at Tailgators Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Jaden Mack. He was terrific. Cory Gregerson, credited with the win, is now 3-6. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The win for the Tailgators raised their record to 65-59.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the tenth, Gerardo Medina had a chance to end it. Little Rock pitcher Justin Berry had other ideas. But with one out, Medina drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Tailgators had the win.
"This game tested our mettle," said Mack.
