Tailgators Drop Jesters, 4-1

Chesapeake Tailgators pitcher Luis Najera was in top form, leading his team past the Joilet Jesters, 4-1. Nick Wolfe converted his 1st save in 1 tries. Chesapeake, at 67-57, occupies third place in the Stars Conference East Division.
Chesapeake designated hitter Brad Raska helped the Tailgators go up, 1-0, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Raska hit a run-scoring single off Joilet pitcher Jim Patterson.
"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Chesapeake skipper Dave York.
