Garcia Dominant in Mad Ants Victory
The Portland Mad Ants eked out a 2-1 win versus the Joilet Jesters at Ballpark of Joilet. Nobody did more than pitcher Fernando Garcia. He was terrific. With the win, Portland raised its record to 72-51.

Garcia's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 8 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 2 hits. Garcia, who is tied for 6th in the SC with a 1.10 WHIP, goes to 15-5 on the year with 111 strikeouts.

"The old adage is true," said Garcia. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
