The home crowd had a good time watching the Portland Mad Ants and Joilet Jesters get after it.

The Joilet Jesters knocked off the Portland Mad Ants, 6-1, in Stars Conference action at Ballpark of Joilet. Joilet pitcher and Yakima, Washington, native Nate McClaskey had an outstanding performance. Joilet, at 70-51, is 2½ games up in the Stars Conference East Division.

McClaskey, who is tied for 3rd in the SC in complete games with 1, pitched a complete game for Joilet. McClaskey surrendered 6 hits over 9 innings and struck out 6. With the win, he moves to 7-3 on the season.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Jesters manager Felipe Arriaga, "I like our chances."
