Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Francisco Garcia, who is tied for 4th in the SC with a .384 on-base percentage, the Montreal Royals defeated the Laredo Ghosts, 8-1. Montreal is 69-53 and Laredo, with the loss, 61-61.
Early in the game, Garcia had a 2-run home run for Montreal. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Royals on top, 2-0.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Garcia.
