Portland Nets 5-4 Win Versus Lasers
|
The Portland Mad Ants and Nashville Lasers put on quite a show.
The Nashville Lasers could not turn a fine performance from shortstop Adam Tyndall into a win. Instead, the Portland Mad Ants prevailed, 5-4, in 15 innings. Tyndall went 2-6 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner in relief was Cesar Aguirre. He is now 1-3. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings.
Jon Fritz helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Mad Ants.
"Both teams played hard," said Portland manager Efren Nieman.
The Mad Ants move to 58-61 with the win, while the Lasers drop to 67-52.
