Anderson Stars in 7-5 Matadors Win
Hartford second baseman Pat Anderson contributed significantly to his team's 7-5 win over the Montreal Canadiens. Anderson, who is tied for 4th in the SC in stolen bases with 29, went 4 for 5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Matadors. The winning pitcher was Danny Rivas. His record now stands at 8-1. The left-hander went 8 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits for the Matadors. Ricky Hill earned the save, his 14th.

Hartford used a clutch hit from Jeremy Comey to snatch the win. The center fielder belted a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Matadors ahead, 5-1. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

"It feels good to get this one," Comey told the Hartford Bulletin.

The Matadors go to 72-46, putting them first in the Stars Conference West Division.
